Learning Skills

Throughout this school year we will be focusing on the development of your child’s learning skills, as they will become a strong foundation for the rest of their education. This year there will be six learning skills that will be evaluated and reported on for your child, including Responsibility, Collaboration, Organization, Initiative, Independent Work and Self Regulation.

In an effort to keep you informed of your child’s progress we will be sending home your child’s level of achievement for each of the six learning skills in the Progress Report, Term 1 February Report Card and the Final June Report Card.
The four achievement levels are represented by a letter and are as follows:
E = Excellent, G= Good, S = Satisfactory and N = Needs Improvement.

It is our goal to assist your child in achieving a “G” in all learning skills by the end of the year. Please review the attached chart for a more in depth look at each of the learning skills. Please let us know if you can any questions or concerns about your child’s learning skill achievements.
